Skin Care

Skin care is different for everyone but I wanted to give you some of my favorite tips from my current skin care regimen.

What I’ve been using for my face :

  • Charcoal Konjac Sponge - I've been using this product since 2016 because HeyFranHey said so and if you know like I know that's more than enough. I have recommended the konjac sponge to friends and it has worked just as well for them. The sponge is gentle on the face and I always feel like I get a deep clean without drying out my skin. Once dry, the sponge may feel hard to touch but once you reapply water it is very soft and moisturizing to the skin.

  • Drink lots of water - Stay hydrated and moisturize your body from the inside out

  • Rose water - If you've read my “Benefits of Rose Water” post then you already know how I feel about this product. I love spraying it on my face as a toner and spraying it all over my body in the name of fresh scents and good vibes.

  • Changing Pillow case - Change your pillow case often. Day to day we lay on the same pillow case transferring dirt and residue from our day. Keeping the pillow case clean will help breakdown on breakouts.

What I’ve been using for my body

  • Lush Rump - My girlfriend literally loves LUSH and I must admit she has me addicted too. But this product itself is for what it says, your Rump. Keeps it nice and moisturized and can be used on the thighs so it's great for runners to prevent chaffing. This product is loaded with soothing rose water and aloe vera to calm irritated skin. All of LUSH's products smell yummy and are made of goodness so go check them out.

  • Equate Baby Oil Gel - Yes, I cheat on my natural shea butter for store bought products sometimes. Currently loving the way that it makes my skin feel. It leaves the skin very moisturized with out being sticky or too oily and it adds just the right glow. Rub down in this after a nice bath and I promise you will sleep like a baby.

  • Essential Oils - This part of my regimen is for me, it adds a sweet reminder throughout the day to breathe. I like to put a drop of lemongrass essential oil on my wrists and behind my ears. Try it and see if it works!
