Self Care


Often times we are on the move and come into contact with so many people and so many different energies in one day. After the week is done and you finally have your weekend to yourself, what helps you to relax and unpack your mind? Self care is different for everyone but having a decompressing routine in place is the important part. We all have to take the time to hit refresh and love on ourselves. We show up for others every day. Currently this is what self care looks like for me .

  • Fresh Flowers - I have plants all throughout my space but I love waking up to a reminder that helps me breathe a little easier and helps me focus on the beauty in life. The sweet flower aroma is just an added bonus.

  • Hot Bath (Newly implemented) - When you are a child taking a bath is part of your daily routine and filled with some of the best play time. As some of us get older and constantly on the go the shower is quick and convenient for our busy schedules. Take some time to get back to basics and have a nice warm bath, uninterrupted, partnered with your favorite drink, tunes and candle. Thank me later.

  • Music - Music can take us anywhere. Make a playlist to help you explore and escape.

  • Yoga - I have been attending a yoga class consistently for about 5 months. I wanted something for me and it has been just that, a challenge yet calming for the mind and body. If you want to try yoga but can't make it to a class download the Sworkit app or find a yogi on youtube.

  • Comfy Clothes - I said what I said. Wear what makes you feel good.

  • TV - Reruns of Sex and the City, Big Mouth, and Rick & Morty

  • Painting - Whatever comes, allow it to flow.
