Summer Smoothie Bowl


For the past few months I have been addicted to making smoothie bowls. A few years ago my interest in smoothies were gone. No matter what ingredients I tried I  couldn't get the right combination and everything I attempted to make tasted like dirty water. Recently I decided to try again and I am so happy that I did. I am not a fan of bananas but mixing them into my daily smoothies has been a way for me to take in the nutrients and benefits that bananas offer.

Here is the perfect smoothie bowl that I enjoy making and eating early mornings after completing my morning meditations.

1. Acai Berries (pureed from the frozen section of Trader Joe's)

2. Fresh frozen Strawberries

3. 1 whole banana

4. 1/2 Cup of milk (I use almond milk)

5. Peanut butter and blackberries are optional

Blend all of the ingredients together. When you are finished pour your smoothie in a bowl. You can add an array of toppings to your smoothie bowl such as, bananas, granola, blueberries, or chia seeds. I like to top my smoothie with fresh cut honey crisp apples. As with all DIY’s, alter any ingredients to your liking. This smoothie bowl is easy and refreshing to make. It is my go to dish for a pre breakfast meal or for a quick treat.
