DIY Pumpkin Conditioner

Is it just me or was winter super harsh on your hair? I find myself having to give my hair more attention and moisture than usual. A simple cream and pomade has not been enough. As we move to Spring and much more sensible conditions

What is saving my hair you ask?

1. Deep conditioning

2. Keeping my hair and ends protected by twisting my hair as often as possible

3. Sleeping on satin (Grace Eleyae - satin lined caps)

How to apply:

Place all of your ingredients into a food processor and blend until the mix becomes a puree. (I used a Ninja Express Chop) Be sure to blend this mix well.

Place the deep conditioner in a glass bowl or a container of your choice.

On freshly washed hair, section your hair into 4 parts. Work the deep conditioner into each section from root to tip. Wear a conditioning cap for at least 30mins or more.

Rinse your hair lightly with a small amount of shampoo, apply your normal conditioner and style as usual.

The recipe is enough to apply the conditioner generously throughout each section of my hair. Adjust the measurements as needed to fit your hair needs. Which is the benefit of curating your own beauty products.

If you have any product left over, store in a glass jar and place in the refrigerator. Keep the conditioner for up to a week. If you feel like your hair needs some extra TLC, use this conditioner once a week until you obtain the desired moisture and shine.
