Day 4. Gym


If you are anything like me the lack of sunshine and the cold temperatures that come with the holiday season make me less inclined to attend events that involve me leaving my apartment.

I get it no one wants to work out even when the weather isn't cold. But staying active in the winter can be even harder when we just don’t have the energy or motivation. Working out will help give us a well needed boost of energy as well as help to improve sleep quality. Most of us are indulging in some of the best comfort foods and desserts due to the winter weather and holiday season.

Workouts can be completed at home or at the gym. If you haven’t already, you can check out my Thanksgiving Workout that can be used any time of the year. If you do not own workout equipment, you can get some small essentials from Five Below or Wal-Mart or, you can use household items that you already have. Equipment or not just get your body moving.

Need some motivation? Get yourself a reliable workout partner that will hold you accountable. Make working out fun and challenging by creating weekly or monthy challenges with your friends and family.

Every exercise won’t be easy and some days will be harder than others but consistency is key. Start today, power through your workout and I promise you’ll feel light and refreshed.
