5 ways to Prepare Yourself for a Good Nights Rest


every week I am always telling myself how I am going to go to bed at a reasonable time so that I can wake up refreshed and head out the door on time for once. and despite my efforts I can never quite get to bed at the time I'd like, instead I'm getting caught up on social media, socializing later than I know I should but I'm enjoying myself, or finding some super cute and crafty idea on Pinterest.

needless to say I am still working on getting out of the door on time because I didn't go to sleep on time and now my bed and I are having separation issues. but I am human and I am still working on myself so, here are 5 methods I am finding useful in getting a good night's rest :

Set the mood: dim the lights and begin to prepare yourself for rest

Turn Down: turn the screen brightness down on your phone

Unplug: refrain from using social media apps 30mins prior to your desired bed time; sometimes we have to unplug from the world and give our mind a rest too

No tv:  do yoga to stretch and relax your body, for beginners I recommend using an app called 'Sworkit' OR listen to a sleep meditation, some apps I like to use are: 'Headspeace', 'Relax Melodies', 'Calm' 

Take a sip: sip some tea, have a drink of water or even a glass of wine (a glass NOT the bottle y'all)

get some rest and hopefully it will jumpstart you to a productive day !
