How many times have you cleaned out your closet and every time you come across that outfit that you promise yourself you are going to wear and yet there it sits? Let it go Sis!
I have been adding a little character to my space. Most times it is a simple change that makes a big difference in your space. Put up new curtains, move the furniture around, buy new decorative pillows or plants, hang some art.
If you are anything like me, my home (space) has become my peaceful escape. I find myself more focused on creating a space that looks and feels good and in turn makes me feel good. I am learning to let go, in my space as well as in my life. I have been in my apartment for about 4 years and I am shocked and annoyed at the amount of unnecessary crap that I have accumulated.
Decluttering your space helps us to declutter our minds which in turn declutters our lives. With every room, drawer and closet I clear out and organize I feel lighter in my thinking as well as everyday life.
If you are finding it hard to let go and tidy your space I recommend reading, The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing by Marie Kondo
Once your space is clear and tidy you are ready to bring in new energy, out with the old and in with the new. Burn some white sage for good measure. Do not fill your space with just things, fill your space with pieces that serve you and make you feel good.
Often times I wonder why we are so resistant to letting go? When we finally let go and free ourselves we realize that it wasn't as hard of a task and we feel so much better once we do.
